Do you battle anxiety?
It's definitely something we all face from time to time. Often times it can plague us for season and all for good reasons. We're constantly bombarded with the worries of life from paying bills, family issues, career obstacles, what others may think, to maintaining food or clothing etc. Jesus says that "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Matthew 6:25 - 26 (NIV). So we can definitely rest assured that God wants to help us just like he feeds the birds. If he can provide them food imagine what he could do for you.
Does anxiety keep you up at night?
Proverbs 3:24 (NIV) When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Does your anxiety cause you to worry constantly?
Phil 4:6 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Ps 55:22 (NIV) Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Know anyone who struggles with anxiety? Give them some advice or kind words. Kindness always goes a long way.
Proverbs 12:25 (NIV) An anxious heart weighs a man down, but a kind word cheers him up.
