The Hebrew word k'ari ( like a lion) כָּאֲרִי is often translated as pierced in Psalms 22:16 in the KJV.
Psalms 22:16 (KJV) "For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet."
In the Hebrew text Psalms 22:16 is Psalms 22:17.
Psalms 22:17 (JPS Tanak) "For dogs have encompassed me; A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; Like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet."

KJV translates it "as a lion" which is correct
Isaiah 38:13 (KJV) "I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me."
The NKJV translates it "like a lion"
Isaiah 38:13 (NKJV) "I have considered until morning— Like a lion, So He breaks all my bones; From day until night You make an end of me."
