The Mind: Man's Thoughts vs God’s Thoughts

Often time we may justify the reasons why we do something and it may seem right to us

Proverbs 21:2 "A person may think their own ways are right, but the LORD weighs the heart."

Even Wiseman's thinking is futile to God’s thinking

1 Corinthians 3:20 "and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile"

The Bible refers to our hearts as our inner being and how we carry ourselves through our thoughts, emotions, actions and speech. 

It mentions that our hearts can be deceitful.

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

That we should guard your heart ❤ since everything flows from it

Proverbs 4:23 "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

God examines each person’s heart/ mind

Jeremiah 17:10 “I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."

What we speak either negative or positive is a reflection of our heart

Matthew 15:18 "But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them."

We must trust God and not our own understanding

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Why? I admit it doesn’t make sense sometimes, but the Bible mentions God’s ways and thoughts are higher than our own

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. 9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

God also knows the depth of things in our heart better than we do

Psalms 44:21 “would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart?"
